Majority Watch, an independent, non-partisan polling project, has Eric Massa leading Randy Kuhl by 12 points in a poll taken Sunday and Monday in the 29th. The poll uses IVR (touch tone response) technology and has a margin of error of 3%.
This is the first year of the Majority Watch polling project, the methodology hasn't been proven, and House races are hard to poll. Nevertheless, this is huge news for the Massa campaign.

Thank you for maintaining such a fascinating and detailed website but this poll is FANTASY. Pure fantasy. In Steuben County alone, save for a mailing from, say, Wesley Clark to the registered Conservatives and a Cleland publicly-broadcast appeal for Massa on basis of being a vet, the GOP will carry him to traditional victory.
I personally polled a Republican County Legislator today face to face. He said there are going to be some very big changes in both the state and federal offices. He said the incumbant congressman is out because of his war support and that Massa will win. He said he is voting for Massa because things have to change in Washington. That all from a experienced Republican Legislator and long time politician! And it happened in a public place.
