Nobody's Getting Rich

Those who are considering voting in the 29th race can be sure of one thing:  neither Randy Kuhl nor Eric Massa are getting rich on this deal.   A recent Money magazine article detailing the Massa family finances shows that he's taking a major financial risk running for Congress.  (By the way, that article is full of interesting detail on Massa beside his finances, and is worth a read.)  Randy Kuhl's most recent financial filing [pdf] indicates that his twenty years in the state legislature have left him with a pension, a house, and a small condo in Florida.   Whether you agree or disagee with his positions on the issues, he certainly hasn't used his office to line his pockets.

no one ever thought of Randy Kuhl as into graft and stuff like that. he never has been. he comes from affluence; his father was a doctor and each of the three sons, I think, was schooled at New England prep places. Sort of a, well, vagabound or, well, heavy drinker and so forth but not into illegal stuff.

No savings account? No checking account, No Certificates of Deposit. For the amount of money he makes he sure does not have a lot to show for it. Also don't see a address listed for where he stays in Washington area.

I did not know he re-married, but I see a spouse listed.

Don't think this report tells us everything.

oh come on. give it up. a philanderer, allegedly, yes but all this crooked clandestine stuff. what are you smoking? this just makes me want to go in and vote for the Congressman even more.

The report has a lot of mentions of "you or your spouse" but there's no specific mention of a spouse.

I see where I read wrong about the wife thing, (JT not SP).

But who said anything about crooked clandestine stuff? But I do stand by what I said, for what he makes ($200,851 a year, of which $71,160 is NYS retirement for a part time job), this filing does not not show a lot.
