The Democrat and Chronicle has a
story about local Members of Congress who lease vehicles at taxpayers' expense. Randy is the only Rochester-area rep who doesn't do this.
Louise Slaughter (NY-28) leases the most expensive car, a
Buick Lucerne. If you're over 60 and live in Rochester, you drive some kind of Buick sedan, and Louise is no exception. The only difference between her and some of my older neighbors is that Uncle Sam foots the bill for her GM boat.

they got it wrong. Randy's campaign pays for his car, check his finance records. they even pay for his $14 car washes. So instead of the taxpayer footing the bill, its Exxon and Big Business PACS footing it instead. Plus its an expensive monthly payment. Talk about living the highlife..
I'd rather have him pay it from campaign funds than taxpayer funds.
I do think we are getting a little too picky when we worry about what type of car a congressman drives and who pays for it.
Some people wouldn't be happy unless they drove a bike around their districts that was given to them at Christmas by Santa Claus.
Didn't mean to offend anyone. You can replace Christmas with Ramadan, Hanukah or whatever else.

I agree. It's just not that much money.
