WETM is reporting that the Kuhl campaign has declined its invitation to debate Eric Massa next month. Negotiations broke down because the Kuhl campaign wanted the debate to take place with no audience, or a limited audience.

Massa has him intimidated. Odds are a confrontation would provide something embarassing for Randy. Let's see if he comes up with a defensible position on the buyouts. Otherwise his incumbency might start working against him going into the election.

I just posted what Kuhl said about the bailout: it must protect taxpayers. That's pretty wide open. We'll see if he narrows it down.
