The Times-Union has the story of Brian Kolb's elevation to Assembly Minority Leader. Kolb confirms that he's not running for NY-29 in 2010, and talks a little smack:
Eric Massa, wherever he is right now, is breathing a sigh of relief. I will not be running for Congress.

Speaking of relief,
I caught a bit of Tedisco on a replay of the Sean Hannity radio program this weekend. He sounded awful. I think it's easy to overestimate the political savvy of a politician who's been in Albany for umpteen years, running unchallenged and working the inside track. That's a different proposition from running for Congress, and it's not surprising that Tedisco blew a big lead and is now tied with an unknown.
Kolb sounds a bit, uh, cocky---don't you think?
It's easy to talk big when you don't have to back it up.
Right--ha ha ha.
