Massa Rotates

Eric Massa was at a a Rotary meeting in Rochester today. He's still concerned about the current healthcare bill.

He's also concerned about Afghanistan.

Let me be very clear. Eric Massa is a disgrace to the 29th District. So was his big R incumbent challenger (Kuhl) that he defeated. We need Americans who do not give a da*$ about party affiliation who will start standing up for the Constitution of the United States. It's true that Massa was a military man; however, it is clear that he does not care about the Constitution. If he did, then he would be asking this question "Is Federal Healthcare even constitutional?" before he starts spouting a socialistic single payer system. C'mon people. The second amendment entitles individuals the right to bear arms, but the government isn't buying us guns. Now they tell us health care is right, no reason they should buy us health care. Just saying. Do you care about freedom?

If Federal healthcare were unconstitutional, don't you think someone would have challenged Medicare successfully in court by now? After all, it's been providing Federal healthcare to millions for over 40 years.

Also, "disgrace" is mighty tough talk about a man who was fairly elected and works night and day to represent the district. What's disgraceful about that? You may disagree with his policies, and that's your right, but how about a little respect for Massa's hard work and service?

You are right. People forget that we must respect what these men and women are trying to do, even when we disagree with them. I didn't pull the lever for Massa, but he did win. If he is as bad as some people say, then a better candidate will be fairly elected. If he does a good job, then the district will keep him in. It's still a long way until November 2010.

My buddy told me about this website. It boggles my mind that we have anyone who cares this much about our little district. Either way, we must preserve it. Thank you for what you are doing. We will get the word out. It is obvious that you care enough about the district that party affiliations do not mean anything to you. Party affiliations are voluntary, after all. Let's go Fighting 29th! This website is the first step back to the constitutional foundation this country was created on. Thank you.

You're welcome.

Me, I love this website. Elmer down in Corning keeps us up with the press from that battleground city...Rottenchester is so darn incisive and devoted...I love the fact that people care like this. And p.s. Up in Prattburgh, we think Massa is a fine guy. A lot of us wish Phil Roche, former head of the Steuben legislature (a Republican, born/raisedin Bath) had run!

Yeah, I agree. Where are we gonna go after the 2010 Census, considering the district may be chopped up or at a minimum re-numbered? The state could lose a few districts.

Thanks for the nice words.

I assume the Southern Tier will still be contained (more or less) in one Congressional district after redistricting. But it will be a smaller part of a bigger district.

One "strategic" reason for voting for Massa is that it puts a viable Democrat from the Southern Tier in the seat for redistricting.
